Bite-Sized Training with Powerful Results

Mindtastic’s playshops are designed to be informative, stimulating and fun. They are interactive sessions that run for up to two hours.   We called them ‘playshops’ instead of workshops because the emphasis is on having fun whilst simultaneously learning valuable strategies to boost performance and enhance wellbeing.

Our playshops are ideal for lunchtimes. A one hour session will enable staff to nourish their minds at the same time as nourishing their bodies.Or choose a two-hour session which enables participants to go deeper into the topics.

These sessions are interactive and high-energy so they are fantastic for teambuilding as well. You can book them for any time of day: mornings, afternoons, or lunchtime.

Resilience is not merely the ability to bounce back after experiencing adverse circumstances. Rather, resilience is the ability to thrive and live a life that is personally rewarding regardless of the external circumstances life may bring us.

During this playshop participants learn and experience some of Mindtastic’s favourite approaches to becoming more resilient. These are all evidence-based strategies drawn from the fields of positive psychology, neuroscience, and our facilitator’s own academic research. People learn how to improve performance, job satisfaction and overall happiness. Moreover, peer-reviewed studies have found that an employee who is happier will improve his productivity by at least 12%.

Sleep Well: How to end your battle with sleepwake up 3

It is estimated that two-thirds of the population have difficulty getting a good night’s sleep while one-third suffer from chronic insomnia.

Poor sleep has a serious toll on many aspects of our lives including impacting our ability to perform effectively at work and increasing our vulnerable to the effects of stress.

Sleep issues can even make us gain weight meaning we are more susceptible to serious illnesses such as diabetes.

During this playshop participants learn a range of proven strategies to overcome sleep problems. The two-hour session provides ample opportunity for each person to understand what may be provoking their personal sleep issues and to build a detailed ‘Sleep Well’ strategy designed to resolve their sleep problems for good.

Participants will learn:

  • The impact of technology on the body’s sleep cycle and what to do about it
  • When and what to eat to promote restful sleep
  • How to switch off an overactive mind
  • The three essential environmental factors necessary for good sleep

We know we need to take steps to keep our body healthy. But we rarely think about looking after our brains. Periods of forgetfulness, distractedness and the inability to think clearly are considered a normal part of life or simply put down to the effects of stress.

Your brain is strongly affected by what you eat. The brain is an extremely complex organ that needs to be exquisitely fine-tuned to function effectively. What you eat significantly impacts the brain’s delicate mechanisms on a day-to-day basis.

Eat the wrong foods and your brain is unable to work well. Eat the right foods and your brain is alert and ready for whatever tasks you want it to perform, whether that is decision-making, creativity or problem-solving.

During this playshop you will acquire key dietary strategies to keep your brain functioning well. You will learn the latest scientific research on nutrients that support brain function and you will become aware of the toxic foods that damage the brain. Handouts summarising the science behind the recommendations and tasty recipe ideas are also provided.

Modern lifestyle places a high demand on our energy. We are experiencing an epidemic of ‘tired all the time’ with the most frequent reason for visiting a GP being lack of energy. Busy schedules are crammed to the brim and our days are spent juggling multiple different priorities.

Energy is fundamental to everything we do. We need energy to perform at our best at work and to enjoy our life to the full. This playshop presents several techniques to naturally boost energy levels. These highly effective practices are easy to learn and guaranteed to give participants the tools to get back their get up and go.


Playshop duration: between one to two hours. The session will be tailor-made to whatever length of time you prefer.
